Dear Friends at Central Baptist,

I asked, "What is abortion?" She answered, "Erasing a pregnancy."

To me the pregnancy represented the miracle of life; a small human knit together lovingly by his Creator. to her the pregnancy represented another mouth to feed; yet more work for an already ovetired body and mind. She described her 4-year-old little girl as precocious and for a fleeting moment a smile visited her face. Yet, her circumstances were overwhelming.

In the entrance to the Center, framed to be the first thing a person sees upon entering, is the following verse: A very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1a NKJV)

This is indeed what the ministry of the Center has been for so many young girls and women. What had made it possible for us to do this is found in the first part of that verse: God is our refuge and our strength. (Psalm 43:1a NKJV)

In the hands of our god I became the tool through which He reached out to her: I offered for the woman to share in the abundance of material resources that our supporters have provided for her assistance. I invited her to pour out to me the many pent-up pains and fustrations she gathered inside her over the years of trying to make it on her own. I applauded her for her decision to give her baby life. Without god, I would have had no strength and would have had nothing to offer her.

God calls some to be His arms, others His mouthpiece and yet others to provide the resources. It is only when we all function together that His purpose can be fulfilled. We thank you for your partnership with our ministry through your gift.
